About the Book
Not every love story has a happy ending. Some just change your life.
Liz Atwater’s happily ever after was torn from her the instant her husband, Jack, was murdered. She is forced to pick up the shattered pieces of her life and raise her three young sons alone.
Reynold Carter’s picture perfect Hollywood life ended the moment the paparazzi got hold of his girlfriend’s cheating scandal. As he watches his life unfold in the tabloids, he comes to a crossroads in his career and his purpose.
When Reynolds takes on the challenge of a new project, his world collides with that of Liz. Neither of them expected their professional relationship to evolve into friendship, or love.
But life is never simple.
Faced with complications from family, friends, and colleagues, Liz and Reynolds are left to decide whether two people from such different worlds can find happiness together.
Can they get past the pain, fear, and guilt and risk their hearts to love again?
Not every love story is just a happy ending. Some completely change your life.
Running had saved me. I wasn’t running away, I was running to temper the misery, to be strong in the face of fear, and to be the person I needed to be.
Beautiful. Emotional. Heartfelt. Breathtakingly wonderful.
Past Heaven is an exquisite‚ deeply moving love after loss story full of feeling and intensity that will have you turning the pages fast.
The story is unforgettably brave and very inspiring with powerful message. This is a story you can finish reading in a few hours easily and find yourself haunted days after.
I wasn’t a patient man, but for Liz, I would try.
Liz and Reynolds are thoughtfully developed characters. They both are intelligent, believable‚ relatable and heartwarming. We were able to meet both of them better through their interior feelings and struggles.
I love how Laura dived deep into their personalities and their lives and how she richly showed us this emotionally complex story through both of their eyes.
The bastard knew what he was doing to me, and Lord help me, I loved every minute of it.
Laura Ward has a magic in her fingers and her mind. Each sentence tightens her grip on your heart. Her thoughtful writing is purely amazing‚ eloquent and raw‚ deeply touching and here stories always have a strong message.
Reynolds had waited for me. Now I would wait for him. We were worth it.
It was easy to get attached and fall in love with Past Heaven. Laura Ward has done it again.
Obsessively good. I simply couldn´t put the book down.
