About the Book
Beckett Taylor’s quest to be a better man has brought Eve Hartt back into his life, but sometimes it feels like they’re bound together with barbed wire. Though he longs to love her without causing pain, the wreckage of their past continues to crash down around them.
Yet with the help of this brothers—and for his brothers—Beckett won’t stop trying. He’s determined to make them all a family, to make a life they want to live, and to make Poughkeepsie a place that’s safe to live it.
He can feel their futures balanced precariously on his shoulders: Blake and Livia and their children, Cole and Kyle and the new baby they’ve just brought home, and Eve…always Eve. He wants their dreams to be real. But murderers don’t just get Happily Ever After handed to them. They have to wrench it away from Satan himself.
Good thing Beckett is prepared to do just that. After all, saving Poughkeepsie is the only way his story ends.
Prepare your heart and your head for a wild ride in this final installment of the Poughkeepsie Brotherhood series. Debra Anastasia does not disappoint as she weaves the last chapter of a story that blends true love, turbulent emotions, and life’s harsh realities into an uplifting tale that calls to the good in each of us.
“Come with me.” He led her to the beach again, but during dinner a few people had been busy. It was now lined with an aisle of candles, and a man stood close to the breaking surf, hands crossed, waiting. Someone had used the surrounding sand as a canvas, creating a swirling pattern. Their names were part of the art.
What? She asked without a sound.
“I want you to marry me. Here. Now.”
Beckett let go of her hand and strode away. When he turned around, close to the water at the end of the aisle, he hoped to hell she wasn’t running in the other direction.

“Where there’s you, there’s always gonna be me. As long as I breathe,” Beckett told her.
“I love you.” She was almost angry. “Do you get it? You. These kids. This life. It is my world.”
This is what I love to call a masterpiece. Something truly unique and once-in-a-lifetime story told through different points of view that give you the better picture of what is going on inside characters minds and the story they are telling.
But still there is so much to this story and as you read page by page more things start unfolding that you couldn´t anticipate. Some of them are shocking and you think ´what the hell has just happened´ and you had a hard time believing it but you do. Eventually.
A story so consuming and haunting that keeps you on the tip of your toes constantly waiting to see what will happen next‚ surprising you when you least expect it‚ gripping you more and more with each next page‚ making you glued to it and unable to stop reading.
One more chapter is surely a definition of this story. You just can´t get enough of and just want more and more.
“I could make you stay,” he said to her back.
“You could certainly try.”
I love the romance. I love how the main characters fight for their love how they are strong about their feelings and I love how some of them still have doubts. How they still have so much to learn. How some of them are still struggling but slowly starting to open themselves.
“When it hurts like this? I’m here. From now on. Fuck your legal bullshit. I am yours. And I’m going to take you upstairs and fuck you until you stop crying.”
She slapped his arms. Her voice was muffled, “Let go.”
“I don’t. I don’t let go. This is the package you bought, lady. I never let go.”
The character development is superb‚ out of this word and simply blows you away. All of them have so much well-crafted depth about them that it is truly fascinating.
They all grow together as couples and alone as individuals. It is amazing how Debra made them so approachable in a way‚ if I may say. Her characters are mature, well rounded and seem to find a place in my heart.
The bond between the guys in brotherhood is strong and truly well-rounded they are. I just love them‚ how they interact‚ how respectful and fearful they are‚ how they treat the woman they love.
“I demand it now. This pain. This loss. We share it. You can hate me, you can hit me—but right now,… we are together.”
Debra´s writing style is per usual masterful‚ gritty‚ raw‚ descriptive‚ filled with emotions‚ drama‚ twists and turns‚ sprinkled with dark humor‚ and she just captivates you easily with the story you are reading.
Saving Poughkeepsie is an action-packed extraordinary‚ high on angst and intensity moments that give you a severe case of book hangover with a satisfied smile on your face.

About the Author
Debra Anastasia is busy, just like every other mom. There’s dinner, the dogs, the two kids, the two kids, and her ongoing battle with…ahem… digestive issues, which combined with her adolescent boy sense of humor makes for colorful and sometimes cringe-worthy social media updates. Her first love and crowning achievement is her thriving career as the weirdest mom on the block.
Her writing started a decent handful of years ago when–along with the animals and humans in her house–the voices of characters started whispering stories in Debra’s ear. Insomnia was the gateway to plots that wouldn’t give up, wouldn’t let go. Now they stalk her everywhere. Halfway through making lunches, a twist takes hold and–fingers full of peanut butter–she finds somewhere, anywhere to write it down.
She’s eternally grateful to Omnific Publishing, which has now published four of her books: two in the Seraphim Series and two in the Poughkeepsie Brotherhood Series, as well as her novella, Late Night with Andres. That one is special because 100% of the proceeds go to breast cancer research. (So go get it right now, please!) She also very much appreciates her open-minded readers, who embrace everything she has to offer, with a focus on anti-heroes and bathroom humor.
Debra lives in Maryland with her family. You can find her at DebraAnastasia.com and on Twitter @Debra_Anastasia. But be prepared.
